Shadows
on my wall
fall across my soul
and I am cold
without you.

Here I am adrift
in thoughts
that don’t make sense
and wonder
where you are
running
for your life
out in the dark…

We made it so far
and yet we fell apart
before we ever
reached home.

And now here we are
strangers
with pieces
of each other
still in our hearts…
Crying
like falling stars
and lost
like a night sky
without the moon.
